Junior Olympics for Swimming was held on the campus of UCSD
The University of California at San Diego is located near the region of La Jolla which is located within the city of San Diego.
The Junior Olympics for Swimming featuring swimmers from San Diego County and and Imperial County swim clubs was held at the campus of UCSD on July 26 through July 30, 2007.

Issues facing the county region are transportation and the Port of San Diego. A guest speaker at the Rancho Bernardo Community Council on Thursday, February 22, at 7:00 at the Rancho Bernardo Library [in the same center as the Souplantation Restaurant] at 17110 Bernardo Center Drive near Rancho Bernardo Road was Rita Van der Gaw, Marketing Director for the Port of San Diego. After the speech, questions from the audience were answered by Ms. Van der Gaw.
Ms. Van der Gaw reported that cruise ship travel was the fastest growing segment for the vacations business. The port of San Diego is undergoing construction to further develop this aspect of Port business activity. Larger curise ships with a capacity of over 3,000 passengers is the trend in ship building.
